Recessed Fan Control Switchplate with CTC Drill Template
thingiverse
This recessed switch panel was custom-designed for my CTC printer, but it's adaptable to suit a variety of uses. The switches extend slightly and are easy to manipulate while being safeguarded from damage. The panel is identical in size to the LCD screen on the CTC printer, giving it a sleek appearance. I've made available the Solidworks part file for modification purposes, allowing you to assign different names to the switches as desired. It was printed using translucent blue PLA and equipped with an LED strip positioned behind it. Warping issues led me to create the "antiwarp" variant with grooves at the bottom for improved stability. Drill a template onto the printer's underside, positioning it directly beneath the bottom edge. Clamp securely into place and drill four holes as indicated. Employ either a jig saw or dremel to finish the cut, allowing smooth removal of excess material. The switch panel should then slide snugly into its assigned position through the back tabs, providing secure fastening.
