Receiver mount for HBX 12891 DUNE THUNDER brushless conversion
thingiverse
The DUNE THUNDER 4WD sand buggy, HBX 12891, handles remarkably well with its oil-filled shocks. However, it falls short in terms of speed, which prompted me to take the usual course of action: a brushless conversion. The primary challenge I encountered was finding a suitable location for the 2.4GHz receiver, as there wasn't sufficient space on the truck. To address this issue, I designed a custom mount using Autodesk Fusion 360. This innovative solution utilizes two existing holes on the upper chassis plate for secure mounting.
