It provides ample space to accommodate larger receivers such as the 481 Sanwa receiver and other similarly sized units that don't fit comfortably in the original housing. The new design seamlessly integrates with the original bottom part of the receiver box, featuring a sturdy 3 mm lip that securely covers the bottom component.
