Ship length: 166.39m The Icarus is extremely fast, with generous broadside capability, and excellent hull strength. 2 of the 4 turrets are side-mounted, a contentious arrangement. A formidable strike craft with a limited hold. As the cheapest 4 turret ship not requiring any special faction levels, one might be tempted to buy the Icarus for some extra firepower from the 4th turret. Unfortunately the positioning of the turrets will only occasionally allow you to bear more than 3 of them on a single target at a time when targets are directly in front of you. Both Alpha and Beta (Alpha is the posterior turret, Beta is anterior) are located on the spine of the ship and have a full 360 range of fire but the two side turrets (Gamma is the right side, Delta is the left) have somewhat limited fire angle due to being laterally mounted and the Icarus' large engines which prevent them shooting directly backwards.
