When the Rebaners were first discovered in 2127 by a skilled explorer ship from Earth, they had been traveling through sublight space for a remarkable 123 years. Their home planet Icin is actually the fourth planet of the star Räb and in the last thirty years before their discovery, the Rebaners established small colonies on the third planet Leysahm, which is a dense jungle world, and the fifth planet Lorvabee, a desert world with a thin but breathable atmosphere. Between Icin and Lorvabee lies an extensive asteroid belt where initial attempts at asteroid mining were made. For supply and transport between the colonies, the Rebanians mainly use spaceships known as plasma cruisers - this is what the Terranian Explorer crew called them. The most commonly used variant of these spaceships has a total length of 134 meters with a 32-meter diameter command sphere that usually accommodates a crew of twenty-five skilled Rebaners. Transport containers or smaller space ships can be docked at any one of sixteen docking positions. There are also shorter and longer versions of these spaceships. These ships are powered by a plasma drive, which can accelerate the ship up to 25 kilometers per second. Thus, journeys to the colonies take between four to eight weeks, depending on the planet's constellation. Since the Reban people are known for being peaceful individuals who have never fought wars among themselves, their plasma cruisers are not armed - except for a plasma cannon at the command dome used to destroy smaller asteroids when crossing the asteroid belt. The model depicts the "Naeboe-Noer," on which the first contact with the Terran Explorer took place in 2127. Mark Fleck posted a picture of a GWA plasma cruiser in the Facebook group "Perry Rhodan Visuell" and since I liked the design, I tried to recreate and print it in three dimensions. The model is built and printed component by component, i.e., not constructed completely but as individual parts (command sphere, reactor, tanks, grid structure, etc.). Some adjustments had to be made for better printability. The software used was Tinkercad, but it definitely reached its limits during construction when I assembled all the components into a complete model. The scale is 1:700 and the printing was done on an Anycubic Photon SLA printer. The model was painted with Revell Aqua Color, and the decals are from the spare part box.
