Rearview Backup Camera Bracket
cults3d
This is a mount, for mounting a Sony IMX307 camera above the 3rd brake light on my SUV. It will work with anything that has 2 opposing screw holes on the sides, and is about 1" wide. It is the rearview mirror, and backup camera. You'll want to put something between the camera and the arm, that provides a little friction. Like friction tape or star washers. Otherwise, the camera may droop when something hits it. Like acorns falling from the tree over our driveway. It is attached to the 3rd brake light with 3M automotive mounting tape. The thin grey double sided tape, for trim, moldings and the like. On my SUV, mounting the camera directly on top of the 3rd brake light was too far forward. The lower part of the image was blocked by a little bit of the body and windows. This lets you extend it farther out. Adjusted to put the horizon slightly below the top of the picture, I can see all traffic behind me, including the hood of cars stopped behind me. In reverse mode, I can see people within about a foot of the bumper. I included all the files, including the Fusion 360 file, if you want to modify it for your purposes.
