The BTA, or Rear Transmission Box, is an integral part of the "Alouette II" helicopter's structure. It transmits mechanical power from the main gearing motor's output to the rotor blades of the rear anti-torque rotor (RAC). This component is essential as it enables the RAC to function effectively as a stabilizing gear by providing rotational energy along the right axis.
