Rear Support for Rack Network Switch

Rear Support for Rack Network Switch

prusaprinters

After upgrading my home network with two CISCO. catalyst series switches, I noticed how much these sagged in my (cheap eBay) rack cabinet. I was concerned about the future long term effects. These parts bolt onto the rack rails found at the back of a rack cabinet, between switches. This means that you can put this bracket in the space between two switches in the same unit as a patch panel. These brackets do not protrude all the way meaning that routing a network cable is easy.In addition to reducing switch sag, these make installation of switches very easy. This is because the switch can just be rested on the supports at the back, leaving you plenty of hands for fastening the bolts to hold in the switches. This also helps with removing the switches slightly to check power connections etc. To install, print the left and right side. Mount with generic rack nuts and bolts.Print settingsSupportsAdhesionLayer heightMaterialNoNoAnyPLA (pictured), or other material
