Rear Skid - Motor Protector
thingiverse
This is a protective shield I designed to safeguard the rear motor casing from impacts upon landing, such as mud, rocks, and other debris. Simply apply marine adhesive and spread a thin layer on the base. Then align it with the front edge using a length of string. Allow it to dry before applying another bead of adhesive around the edges for added stability. I fabricated this shield in high-temperature resistant ABS plastic for optimal durability. Weighing just 5 grams at 20% infill, its light weight is well worth the extra protection it provides. I printed this shield with the layers oriented lengthwise for maximum strength.
