To ensure a sturdy construction, I've chosen 1-3/4 inch 7075 aluminum for my upper link bars. For added strength and rigidity, the lower bars consist of 1-3/4 inch 7075 aluminum tubes slid inside 2-inch diameter, 0.120 wall thickness DOM tubing with the ends rolled over to maintain a tight fit.
