I am proud to announce the release of rear lens caps for CONTAX/YASHIKA lens mount enthusiasts worldwide. Specifically designed for users of Carl Zeiss CONTAX lenses, these custom-made rear lens caps provide an affordable alternative to official parts, which are often scarce and hard to find. The design boasts four unique variations on the outside: three bearing the iconic 'CONTAX' logo in a variety of styles - one with grip, one without grip but still sporting the distinctive logo, and finally, two versions lacking the logo altogether - again, either with or without a convenient grip. Inside, however, each cap is uniform, using the same tried-and-tested design to ensure compatibility across multiple lenses. Notably, the 'no logo and no grip' model closely mimics the appearance of authentic CONTAX caps, perfect for those seeking an exact replica. I am pleased to report that the custom-made 'CONTAX' logo, which adorns certain versions of these rear lens caps, has been carefully recreated using 2D CAD technology. The resulting design is an uncanny facsimile of my own camera's original 'CONTAX' emblem and is thus unique among commercial offerings. Rigorous testing involved utilizing three specific Carl Zeiss lenses - the Planar 1.4/50, Distagon 2.8/28, and Vario-Sonnar 4/80-200 - and for the most part, they fit beautifully with minimal adjustments required. Please be sure to approach attachment of these caps carefully to prevent any unnecessary strain. Next on my agenda is the development of a rear lens cap for the CONTAX G lens mount, so stay tuned for further updates! For those interested in crafting their own 3D printed items at home using RepRap and Prusa Mendel i2 technology, I offer these details on print settings used: Resolution: 0.2mm, Infill density: 30%.
