Rear-Head on collision- Helmet Analysis
grabcad
Detailed safety features are now incorporated in steel helmets amidst rising concerns for bikers' security. I have conducted a straightforward analysis of how a distributed pressure on a helmet's rear end during an accident can potentially shatter even the sturdiest helmet. Replacing neck grip with clamps is proposed. Two images are included: one depicts the Von Mises stress analysis post-collision, and the other displays the helmet rendered with steel elements prior to impact, under a uniform pressure of 1000 pascals - equivalent to a truck colliding with a bike at 40 km/h from behind.
