Rear bike light rack mount
thingiverse
This clip is designed for attaching tail lights onto bike racks, specifically used here for the "Portland Design Works" Danger Zone light with a "Topeak" Super Tourist DX rack. The universal design allows it to work with various tail lights from different manufacturers. It's been tested and found compatible with cheap Chinese lights and "Planet Bike" lights as well. The rack mount holes are spaced 50mm apart. The provided Sketchup file includes an adjustable base clip for designing other sizes as needed. This model is a redesign of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8947, created in SketchUp due to lack of OpenSCAD knowledge. The original rack mount clip worked well but had bolt holes 81.5mm apart, which was considered too far. For alternative options, check out the OpenSCAD file available at the original link or consider http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25621 for a single hole mount, although measurements are in meters and not millimeters. This design is recommended to be printed with ABS for its flexibility and strength, as opposed to PLA which might not hold up well under weather elements on the back of a bike.
