Rear axle cover for Canyon Speedmax CF
prusaprinters
Canyon bikes use a small piece of plastic to cover the rear thru-axle on their bikes. This is that cover, for the Speedmax CF time trial/triathlon bike.I was contacted by Kylexandr on Instagram who found the axle cover I had done for the Canyon Ultimate and needed the same for his Speedmax CF. Got him to take some photos and created a first prototype that needed some adjustment, so another photo with a ruler in the shot was the perfect reference and I was able to create this. Sent it to him and he confirmed it fits perfectly! You can buy this piece directly from Canyon for $10.99 with $14.99 shipping (for me at least) - or you can print it yourself. It would be great if Canyon made these files available, but unfortunately very few companies are as progressive as SRAM - who makes several files available. (even if it is, unfortunately, on that travesty that is Thingiverse)You'll need double-sided tape to mount this.Printing instructionsYou can print this one any which way you like. Layer height, settings, none of that will make any real difference. You might want to flip it if you have a textured build sheet so the texture is on the outside and it looks less 3D printed, otherwise this should not be a challenge to print.Add double sided tape, trim to size, install on the bike.
