Realsky HDRI Overcast 1644 Description: This 32-bit HDRI map unlocks highly detailed real-world lighting for your 3D scenes, a technique known as "Image-Based Lighting". The map boasts noise-free ultra high detail (15k) and extremely high dynamic range in 32-bit per channel .exr format. The map itself and the supplied 15k jpeg image provide sufficient resolution for use as a backplate, even for cinematic quality. Taken from real-world skies, not digitally rendered, using auto bracketing and stitched from RAW files for optimal quality. Included formats in zip file: • 15k (15000×7500 pix) 32-bit EXR file • 15k (15000×7500 pix) 8-bit tonemapped JPEG file Measured Dynamic Range: 4.48 EVs, the highest dynamic contrast available on the market. Sun Altitude: 3 degrees Shooting Time: 16:44 At 41st parallel in October at 16:44, a 3-degree sun angle is achieved. You can calculate the correct time of day for your project using this angle and your latitude-longitude. For example, Vray Sun or Mental Ray Sun tool has an algorithm for calculation. If memory issues arise and high-resolution renders are not necessary, you can scale down the EXR map with Photoshop and use a lower-res version. I used a 2k version when rendering sample renders of this file. This map is also available in Realsky HDRI Six Pack 2
