The design was crafted entirely within virtual reality using Oculus Medium sculpting software. It was then successfully printed on my SLA resin printer. Once complete, the model can function as a distinctive brooch or pin, a decorative fob at the end of a pull chain for a lamp, an overhead fan, or simply placed on a desk, shelf, or fireplace mantle as a thought-provoking conversation piece. High-quality photos showcase a spider with its main body positioned approximately 35mm in size. These images illustrate two potential ways to finish the print. One option is copper electroforming; another involves enamel painting. A wealth of information is available online about electroforming, including informative instructional videos on YouTube. For painting, use spray enamel and touch up or highlight with a brush as needed. The glossy finish was achieved through application of two final coats of an acrylic clear coat.
