These realistic Lightning 3D models are designed to seamlessly blend in with any kind of background environment and render extremely fast. They can also be used in games. Total Polygons: 43,701 Total Vertices: 43,881 The Lightning geometry is made in real-world scale at approximately 8km height, which is the average height of this type of Cloud to Ground Lightning. It can be scaled up or down to fit your needs and will still look good in renders. Scene units - m (meters). This is a V-Ray version. If you are using other renderers, you'll be able to use the geometry, but you'll have to create your own materials. Every branch can be easily selected (by Element) for animating different illumination and/or timings per branch. This feature allows for some spectacular slow-motion animations, similar to what occurs in real-world conditions. All elements are UVW Unwrapped without any overlapping areas, allowing you to use textures as needed. The current texture uses Vertex Color and can be baked to a texture if desired. It is also embedded in the exported FBX format (bake in Substance Designer, etc.). Feel free to adjust the brightness of the light materials to match your scene and camera settings. They are properly named and easy to set up, separated by branch size. The glow of the main bolt is achieved via V-Ray Lens effects Bloom + Glare (set up in the scene). You can turn off this effect if you prefer to add your own in post-production. Rendered on a black background, the lightning will blend perfectly into your image using 'Screen' or 'Lighten' mode in PhotoShop, AffiniPhoto, etc. The geometry can also be used as a light source when merged in your scene. Simply adjust the main bolt strength as it is the brightest and most influential part of the effect. Check out the included V-Ray rendering tip as .jpg and .txt files for additional information. You can easily import this product via drag-and-drop. No background objects, cameras, or additional lights are included in the scene. This product is compatible with 3dsMax 2010 and up. Exported versions are available in 3DS, FBX, and OBJ formats (no materials). Please note that depending on your software of choice, the exported formats may not exactly match what you see in the preview images. In some cases, the mesh might appear triangulated and you'll need to manually reassign materials/textures.
