This detailed Lightning 3D model is specifically designed to seamlessly blend in any kind of background environment and renders extremely quickly. The mesh is optimized for a low polycount, making it suitable for use in games. Polygons: 4483 Vertices: 4505 The lightning geometry is crafted in real-world scale ~ 8km height (the average height of this type of Cloud to Ground Lightning), but can be scaled up or down as needed and will still look great in renders. Scene units - meters. This model is created in V-Ray version, however you can use it with other renderers by creating your own materials. Each branch can be easily selected individually for different lighting effects and timing adjustments per branch to achieve spectacular slow motion animations. All elements are UVW unwrapped without any overlapping issues in case textures need to be applied. The current material uses Vertex Color which can be converted to texture if necessary and is embedded within the exported FBX format too. Feel free to adjust the brightness of the light materials according to your scene and camera settings for optimal results. They are properly named and easy to set, separated by branch size. The main bolt's glow effect is created using V-Ray Lens effects Bloom + Glare (set up in the scene) which can be turned off if custom post effects need to be applied. When rendered on a black background, the lightning model can easily blend into your image via 'Screen' or 'Lighten' mode in PhotoShop, AffinityPhoto, etc. The geometry can also be used as a light source when merged into your scene. The main bolt strength can be adjusted separately since it's the brightest and most influential part of the effect. A related V-Ray rendering tip is included with this product as both .jpg and .txt files. This model can easily be imported via drag and drop - there are no background objects, cameras, or additional lights in the scene. Compatible with 3dsMax 2010 and up versions. Exported versions are available in 3DS, FBX, and OBJ formats (without materials). Keep in mind that depending on your software, exported formats may not exactly match preview images. The mesh might appear triangulated and you'll need to manually assign materials/textures accordingly.
