This detailed Lightning 3D model is crafted to perfectly blend in any background environment and render incredibly fast. The mesh is expertly optimized for low polycount, making it perfect for use in games. Polygons: 9,811 Vertices: 9,865 The Lightning geometry is built on a real-world scale ~ 8km height (the average height of Cloud to Ground Lightning), but can be scaled up or down to meet your needs and still look great in renders. Scene units - meters. This model comes with V-Ray materials. If you're using a different renderer, you'll need to create your own materials. Each branch is easily selectable for animating different illumination and timings per branch (like real-world scenarios) for spectacular slow-motion animations. All elements are UVW unwrapped without overlap, allowing you to use textures as needed. The current one uses Vertex Color, which can be baked into a texture if required, and is embedded in the exported FBX format too. You can adjust the brightness of the light materials to best match your scene and camera settings. They're properly named and easy to set up, separated by branch size. The glow of the main bolt is achieved via V-Ray Lens effects Bloom + Glare (set up in the scene) and can be turned off if you prefer to add your own effects in post-production. Rendered on a black background, the lightning will seamlessly blend into your image using 'Screen' or 'Lighten' mode in PhotoShop, AffinityPhoto, etc. The geometry can also be used as a light source when merged in your scene. You can adjust only the main bolt strength since it's the brightest and most influential part of the model. Make sure to check out the related V-Ray rendering tip included with this product as .jpg and .txt files. This model is easily importable via drag-and-drop, and there are no background objects, cameras, or additional lights in the scene. It's compatible with 3dsMax 2010 and up. Exported versions are available in 3DS, FBX, and OBJ formats (without materials). Please note that the exported formats may not look exactly like they do in the preview images in all software. In some cases, the mesh might appear triangulated, requiring manual reassignment of materials/textures.
