Realacc x4r x5r x6r GoPro Hero 8 mount
thingiverse
This is a combination of a previous mount I designed and a universal GoPro 8 mount. My first attempt resulted in a 45° tilt, which is much too steep for the way I fly, but might suit some people, so I included it as an option. The second version has a more reasonable 30° tilt, which required me to adjust the base angle using Meshmixer, and then assemble everything together in Design Spark Mechanical. Before putting the GoPro camera into the mount for the first time, heat it up thoroughly with a hot air blower. Then insert the camera and let it cool down completely. This will cause it to mold perfectly around the camera, but it will still hold it extremely tightly. I've crash tested this design several times, and it holds up remarkably well. I preserved the shock-absorbing mount from the original design, which gives it some flexibility when it hits something hard. It also helps to smooth out any vibrations that might occur. Here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM-7ehuJnbk
