Realacc X210 motor protector or cover
thingiverse
After a while of flying, the lower bearing on my quad-motors starts to make a loud noise and eventually ends up worn out or broken. This is caused by mud that gets through the holes under the motor axis. To prevent this from happening again, I came up with a motor-protector that fits onto the arm without needing to remove any screws. Simply slip the protector on the arm and secure it with a zip-tie. This version is designed for 3mm arms and can fit up to 2205 motors. Other versions may be created in the future. The cover only protects the socket of the motor, the hole for the motor-shaft, and all motor screws, leaving the motorbell exposed. Dirty hex-screws and mud on the motorshaft and bearings are a thing of the past. Secure it tight with a 3mm zip-tie. Print it lying flat just like in the stl-file. Use either PLA or TPU for the best results. Printer Settings: * Printer: ctc * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.02mm * Infill: 50-60% * Notes: Printed with PLA
