The dimensions were taken directly from Thabet El Basry, a well-known oud maker, as a simple gift for his fellow craftsmen to design the mold before embarking on traditional construction. In the conventional method of making ouds, the neck and body are built separately; however, I employed a more efficient technique by creating the body and neck as a single piece.
