All data collected from this groundbreaking study is available online in a freely accessible open-source database known as the Icicle Atlas. Those distinctive ripples typically seen on natural icicles are caused by a very small amount of salt added to the water. This exceptional icicle is the final, fully grown state of the renowned Icicle Atlas Run 111212.
