ReadyNAS Duo Hard Disk Tray
thingiverse
I printed a hard disk tray for my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo using ABS. I'm not sure if PLA can handle the heat from the NAS, so you may want to try it, but ABS is my preference. Support is needed only at the point where the handle attaches to the case with a screw. The screw is 3mm in diameter. I didn't print a clamp for the hard drive, instead I cut one out of a metal sheet that was 0.5-2mm thick. To give you an idea of what I did, I used a dremel to cut mine from an old CD unit case. The body of the tray is printed with an infill of 20%, while the handle has an infill of 50%. I also used gyroid infill for this project. The NAS model I'm using is the RND2000, hardware version 2. However, I believe that it shouldn't be a problem to use this design on earlier models such as the v1, NV+, or ReadyNAS Duo v2.
