Say no to single use plastic utensils with the ReadyFork. The ReadyFork is a toothpick container that transforms into a fork. You can attach the ReadyFork to your keyring, so it's always with you.

During my travel, I sometimes find myself with purchased food and no eating utensils. This usually result in a trip back to the hotel. A set of travel cutleries would be nice. But they require an extra container to keep clean (adding to the bulk) and require cleaning between use. If you want to eat multiple times on one outing, then you need to carry several sets of cutleries with you.

I designed the ReadyFork to overcome the limitations above. The ReadyFork keeps a set of 30+ clean toothpicks. You just stick toothpicks into the end to form a fork; and dispose of the toothpicks after use. There is no cleaning required between use; just use fresh toothpicks every time (bamboo is a renewable resource, it's the fastest growing plant on earth, so the environment impact from using them is relatively low).

You might have noticed another item attached to the keyring. Can you guess what it is? … It's a compact bottle opener that I created to go with the ReadyFork. You can read about the bottle opener at Maker's Bottle Opener.

Printing Notes

Toothpicks come in thickness between 1.6 to 2mm. The ones you get at the restaurants are likely to be 1.6mm; and the toothpicks that you purchase from stores are likely to be 2mm.

The thread may be a bit tight initially. It'll right after a few use.

Increase the strength of the cap, so it doesn't snap off easily when you over tighten it. The model in the picture is printed in ABS, with wall perimeter of 5 and infill of 50%.

You can check out my other prints at https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/76585-highrise-workshop/prints.
