This is a remix of the awesome tracks for Bryant87's RC Speed Tank. I based it off of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2393975/. The original design can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2024364. I decided to simplify things by laying out 44 chains and 88 grooves on a single platter, as most slicers don't pack very efficiently. Update: After conducting some tests, I discovered two major issues: The chain is relatively weak when printed in ABS. The inserts, which were printed in flexpla, have trouble sticking, even with epoxy glue. To address these problems, I created a modified version. This new design is thicker and stronger than the original, and instead of relying on three pins to hold the inserts in place, I carved them out. As an added bonus, even without inserts, you still get some grooves. Due to the increased thickness, there might be a slight effect on chain length, but I'm not sure yet if this is a problem. Once I complete a few test prints, I'll upload an array of this new design.
