Read Across America Door Project
thingiverse
Read Across America Day is an initiative launched by the National Education Association (NEA) to boost reading enthusiasm. It takes place on or around March 2, Dr. Seuss's birthday. As part of this project, 6th-grade students created customized nameplates for their teachers and staff that fit perfectly into the classroom door brackets. The names are written in a font resembling Dr. Seuss book style, colored red and white to match his iconic look. In addition, the students designed decorative pieces inspired by their favorite books or literary characters. These creative expressions added an extra layer of excitement to the Read Across America Day celebration. To create the nameplate font, we utilized "Grinched," a Dr. Seuss-inspired font available on 1001fonts.com.
