Reach3D BLTouch + Part Cooling Fan Mount
thingiverse
This is the mount I designed specifically for mounting a BLTouch Smart sensor to the Reach3D printer (http://reach3dprinters.com/). You can also use this mount to install a radial fan for part cooling. The fan mounting parts were designed with one particular fan in mind (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K49K358) but should work with any similar-sized fan. To assemble the mount, you'll need to superglue the nozzle to the air funnel carefully. You must align the nozzle precisely! The tip of the radial fan will fit snugly into the top of the air funnel. Depending on your current setup, you might be able to reuse your existing hot end clamps without any modifications. I've included a set of clamps just in case. This mount was designed with the E3Dv6 hotend in mind. It may not work properly with clones that are longer than the actual E3Dv6, as this can cause issues with the Z offset. To install the BLTouch sensor, use its included screws and nuts. To attach the fan, you'll need a M3-20mm bolt and nut and two M3-12mm bolts and nuts. You might also require an extra set of M5 nuts to mount the accessory mount to the hotend carriage. Using the provided clamps, you can reattach the original nuts into the clamp and then attach this accessory mount with a second set of nuts. This will allow you to remove the accessory mount without losing the clamps that hold the hot end. Once installed, perform a z-probe test to get an accurate measurement of the Z offset and adjust your firmware accordingly. My current offsets are set at X: 16, Y: -29, and Z: -0.95.
