Reach 3D setup tools
thingiverse
This is a set of tools designed to enhance the accuracy of the printer by providing precise alignment and positioning. The z-axis square should fit snugly into the slots on the base 20x40 extrusion for optimal performance and printing with the sloped face on the printer bed. Four M5 x 8mm screws and t-nuts are used in this tool to secure it firmly. The z-axis alignment tool requires M3-.5 x 12mm screws for the z-axis stepper, allowing the tool to accurately locate the z-axis motor at the center of the extrusion. A pair of M5 x 8mm screws and t-nuts are necessary to secure the z-axis extrusion, while two M5 screws in the base extrusion need to be replaced with 12mm long screws. The y-axis alignment tool should be printed with the flat side facing down and does not require any fasteners. However, there is a hole provided for screwing it into place if permanent mounting is desired. This tool fits between the two plates mounted on the base extrusion, setting the distance between them and providing something to square the y-axis against. The Z and Y axis tools performed as expected. Although I have some doubts about the z-axis square, I believe that with bed leveling it should be close enough, achieving a deviation of only .015" over 13".
