Reach 3D large and small extruder gears
thingiverse
I've created some replacement gears for the Reach 3D printer myself. My extruder gears were loose and kept coming loose because of a set-screw that couldn't hold its place. I designed these new gears to eliminate the set-screw entirely, which has really smoothed things out. It's worked incredibly well so far and I no longer have to tighten it after each use. However, it does take a bit of a push to get the small gear pressed onto the stepper motor, but once it's in place, it holds tight. You'll need to lay them flat in your slicer before converting them to gcode. To be honest, I'm still learning and haven't figured out how to lay them down properly in the STL file yet. If you have any experience with this, please let me know what you think!
