I'm excited to share my first-ever design for a 3D printed part with you. Feel free to offer suggestions on how to improve it or create remixes of your own! This part was specifically designed to make adjusting the proximity sensor on the Reach3d printer easy and stable. The tolerances are quite tight on the slide, so be sure to sand where the parts meet for a smooth movement before assembly. The slide is held securely in place by a wood screw, while adjustments are made using an M3x16 screw and nut placed within the notch of the slide. When assembling, avoid adjusting the slide all the way to the top, as this gap will be used for fine-tuning purposes. Once the mount is complete, lower the print head to the bed and begin placing your sensor in the holder. Position the sensor so that the top nut is adjusted to just barely trigger the sensor. Then, raise the z-axis and install the bottom nut on the sensor. After this step, you're ready to fine-tune using the M3 screw! By popular request, I've separated the parts into individual files and added an offset fan mount bracket for your convenience.
