Re-arrangeable Desk Organizer (with Magnets)
thingiverse
This desk organizer is meant for students to organize their supplies however they want. It is meant to make a student's life easier when doing distance learning. Students (or anyone) can re-arrange these parts more than one way and later on change it up if they feel like it. The holes on the sides of the parts are where the magnets are placed. I used Onshape when making this design. I have never really used it before, so I struggled a bit with using the CAD and figuring out what tool to use. Also, the pattern on the larger part took a lot of effort and patience. It took me 4 tries to get it right which turned out to be 3 hours. If I could redesign it, I would definitely add more ways to rearrange the parts and make them look a lot more fun. 3D printing my design makes prototyping easier, allows me to create without other tools (wood work and metal work) and makes the design cheap and reliable.
