RDQ 182 Pod
thingiverse
I'm working on a compact pod design in collaboration with a friend for the RDQ 182 frame. It directly attaches to the top of the stack, features countersunk nut positions for secure rear mount installation, includes a standard antenna whip mounting point through a countersunk nut position, and can accommodate a GoPro. The pod is specifically designed for use on stacks no taller than 20mm. I print this design upside down with the GoPro seat parallel to the build surface, which necessitates the use of supports. A version printed in TPU at 100% infill is showcased; I chose this material and density to achieve the necessary stiffness to securely hold cameras while also providing sufficient flexibility to absorb impacts without cracking or delamination. Removing the supports proved a bit challenging without causing damage, so be cautious when handling them. This design still requires some refinements, but the current iteration should be suitable for printing and construction purposes.
