RDA Travel Case
thingiverse
This is a portable case designed specifically for RDAs. The current design depth is ideal for the Mutation 4 with its standard cap. The cap fits securely, and when your printer is properly configured, it snaps into place perfectly. However, the case's design takes it up a notch by incorporating two 6mmx3mm magnets to ensure the lid stays closed during travel (in a bag or other enclosure). The magnets used in this design can be purchased at an affordable price - under $5 for 100 of them - from this shop. Print Settings Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 Infill: 15% Notes: I currently print these with three shells, but that's a personal preference. Post-Printing Cleanup and Final Touches I use an artisan brush to clean them up, followed by 1500 grit sandpaper and acetone for a smooth finish with a decent shine. The magnets can be installed using your preferred epoxy - just make sure to apply enough to the hole and the back side of the magnet to get a secure fit. Excess epoxy should be cleaned off carefully. If you notice "Elephant Feet" edges where the parts made contact with the bed, I recommend using a small file set to trim them down gradually. These files can be found at affordable prices at Harbor Freight or hobby shops - you can even use a nail file like those used for fingernails.
With this file you will be able to print RDA Travel Case with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on RDA Travel Case.
