RCTimer Spider Extended Landing Gear
thingiverse
I'm really fond of the standard Spider design by RCTimer, but I find that its legs are a tad too short for my liking. However, their extended legs proved to be a bit flimsy, causing my quadcopter to bounce around vigorously every time it landed. These extended landing gear slip over the existing legs and get attached using one bolt. The designs were printed in ABS material with 20% infill density. When I tried to upgrade the standard leg of my Spider quad, I found myself using a sturdy 3mm x 16mm cap screw alongside two thick washers and a robust lock nut for better hold. Drilling through the hole that is already present on the existing leg proves quite simple, and afterwards sliding in these longer landing gears into place isn't as tough. All that's left to do now is securely tighten it down using this strong bolt.
