RCP Adapter tiles for Kyosho/non-Kyosho tiles
thingiverse
As mentioned in FB, we also faced the challenge of RCP tiles comming from multiple sources, as Kyosho and others oftern are reversed, causing, by combination, some to be on the smooth and others on the rough side (grip is quite different) These adapter tiles can be placed a few tiles into a straight, where grip is not critical anymore, change to other brand, and back again... should be a no-brainer Note: depending on the material you use, it may cause a 3rd different kind of grip, hence place it at a spot where if affects the less possible I add here - a 2-tile-wide stripe, full length, - a 3-tile-wide stripe, full length - a 2-tile-wide stripe, half length (I like these more, as the grip difference area is shorter...) --> Plott these in 13mm EVA, LDPE (i.e. Plstazote LD33 or LD45...) or similar. Plus some side-bumpers for half size tiles, so you can also close the gap there. Several versions, depending how the bands come together --> Plott these in 35mm thick Foam (or was it 30?) Of course, you could also use several original RCP tiles, cut them in halb and glue them into an adapter-tile... this is just one more choice.
