RCExplorer Tricopter V3 Tarot T-2D Gimbal Mount
thingiverse
Mounting a Tarot gimbal on your RCExplorer Tricopter has never been easier and more effective. Without any cutting or drilling required for either the tricopter or the gimbal, everything can be easily restored to its original state. Since the gimbal is mounted to an isolated "clean plate," those rubber bobbins that were previously necessary are no longer needed. To reduce the possibility of vibration due to the clean plate being slightly too flexible, a single earplug was wedged between the gimbal mount and the front spacer on the tricopter. This acts as a shock absorber and keeps everything stable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w3V3m_GlXY UPDATE Version 1.2 (probable final version) I relocated the gimbal control board to the front of the mount, thus alleviating the issue with the wires not being long enough. With the roll motor pushed into the mount so that its back is flush with the mount's back, the roll arm just clears the gimbal control board. Version 1.1 has been updated and now includes an integrated gimbal control module mount and a thicker bottom strap. The "mount controller" is no longer necessary but I have left the files in case someone finds them useful. I have also uploaded the reverse side of the mount controller. One issue with this version is that the wire connecting the IMU to the controller board is just a touch too short, which causes problems when pointing the camera straight down. I plan on tweaking the design further in order to gain a little more slack. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution:.2mm Infill: 30% for everything except the bottom strap which should be >50% Notes: My printer tends to print circular IDs significantly smaller than intended. The roll motor is merely friction-fit into the mount and still had to have a small amount of material dremelled out in order to fit it.
