RCD-1 (Rock Lobster) v0.8
thingiverse
I'm designing my RCD-1, a first-ever attempt at a quad design. It uses rugged MHQ Hovership arms with permission and features front and rear bumpers on the bottom plate to attach LEDs. UPDATE: I'm currently testing an MK2 prototype, so I've removed all previous files for now. The MK2 includes numerous design changes throughout. CREDITS: Thank you to Hovership for allowing me to use their arms. PS: If you make one, please let me know! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Current Version: V0.8 Coming Soon! Previous: V0.72 Rear-mounted 8mm and 35mm standoffs. A new angled board cam mount is in place. Angled Mobius mounts now available. v0.71 A revised middle plate features holes for bobbins, an anti-vibe FC plate, and a new anti-vibe FC mount that can be used on other frames using two plates. v0.7 The quad supports up to 30x30 board cams, but they're mounted without holes so you'll need to drill them carefully! V0.67: A top plate is now complete. Additional tweaks are in place. v0.66 Middle plate completed v0.65 The bottom plate is done Mounting holes were enlarged to M3 Corrected PDB mounting hole spacing was performed v0.6 A modified front end was implemented to accommodate the rugged MHQ Hovership arms. Mobius top plates have been reworked; it's still a WIP.
