One of our engineers is a proud member of the Timbers Army and we're all cookie lovers, so we created this custom cookie cutter. We got creative with the axe to add a star design. To complete this plunger-style cookie cutter, you'll need to attach a 3/32" rod to the plunger and knob using epoxy, and also secure a small spring in place - we used an old ballpoint pen's spring for this part. Alternatively, you can substitute the rod with a section of coat hanger wire. As amateur bakers, we took extra precautions by washing the entire cookie cutter in vodka before using it; not sure if that was necessary, but our cookies turned out great and we're still alive! Mission accomplished! RCcookieTID Recipe: Ingredients: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup soft butter 1 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder This recipe yields approximately 30 cookies. To prepare the dough, mix together the butter and sugar until well combined. Next, add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Gradually incorporate small portions of the flour, baking powder, and salt into the mixture until everything is fully incorporated. Refrigerate the dough overnight for optimal results. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch on a floured surface. To prevent sticking, you can sprinkle additional flour on top of the dough or inside the cookie cutter itself. Place the cookies one inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for eight minutes. Allow the cookies to cool completely before adding your desired amount of icing. Don't overdo it with the icing, as it may cover up the details of the stamped axe and star design.
