RCBS Turret Press Primer Catcher

For all 2A enthusiasts that have this reloading press.While RCBS has some high quality reloading tools and materials, the primer catcher for the RCBS Turret Press is not one of those, and leaves something to be desired. The primer catcher that comes with the turret press occasionally splits in two parts, falls out of the holes that hold it in place, or fails to catch the spent primers. It is very flimsy, and is generally the weakest part of this reloading press.While there are 3D models for primer catchers for other reloading presses, I noticed that there are no free versions for the RCBS Turret Press.This model does not require you to buy extra components from a local hardware store, however you do need screws to secure it to the press. The RCBS Turret Press manual states that the screws are 8-32 x 1/2 screws. This model comes in two parts: the primer catcher itself, and the tube that snugly fits to the end of the primer catcher, that holds the spent primers. The tube is curved so it does not interfere with the movement of the press handle and so you can manipulate it whatever direction suits your set-up the best. The tube will hold a few hundred spent primers. Once it becomes full, just slide it off, dump the spent primers in the trash, and slide it back on.I have printed this for my own use, and I am currently using it without any issues. This was my first 3d print, so let me know if you encounter any problems. I will post pictures of the actual primer catcher on my turret press soon.
