RCBS swage step for Lee Challenger O frame press
thingiverse
When using a RCBS swage tool to remove primer crimp from military brass, the brass can be stubbornly resistant to removal due to incompatibility issues with the Lee Challenger press. To rectify this problem, simply print out these instructions and follow them: Remove the tool retention spring from the ram, slide the piece onto the ram, and reinstall the spring. This modification allows for a full range of motion on the ram, even when the tool is installed. At present, I'm unsure how well this adaptation would perform under heavy use when pressing primers into cases. Since I load mine by hand using a primer, any shortcomings in this area would be most welcome to me so that I could improve upon this piece. Edit: After conducting some experiments with the piece installed, I've encountered difficulties with primers failing to align properly or being inserted at an angle. Once I get the chance, I'll make some alterations to address this issue.
