RC4WD Bucket for use with quick connect 1/14 Wheel loader
thingiverse
A custom bucket with a quick connect adapter found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3956963 can be used for working effectively. This bucket has a larger capacity than the standard bucket provided, featuring tubes in its design to accommodate the insertion of 6mm metal rods at two locations and 2mm rods near the blade. To ensure the bucket's stability during digging operations, it is recommended to print it with PETG filament and the brackets with Nylon material if possible. This combination should provide the necessary strength for proper digging performance. Printing a whole spool of filament will be required due to the bucket's substantial size, weighing almost a full kilogram. On my Prusa mk3 printer, printing this design takes approximately 38 hours to complete. To prevent warping issues on the back of the bucket where it curves up, I slow down the first layer and apply some form of adhesive to ensure proper adhesion. The custom bucket features screw holes for attaching brackets but relies primarily on the strength provided by the 6mm rod that passes through both the bucket and the brackets.
