# RC2014 Backplane Pro Case "RC2014 is a simple 8 bit Z80 based modular computer originally built to run Microsoft BASIC. It is inspired by the home built computers of the late 70s and computer revolution of the early 80s." source: https://rc2014.co.uk The backplane is a PCB that allows modules to interconnect together. This case not only makes it look nicer, but makes it easier (together with my RC2014 module cases: https://www.printables.com/model/401904-rc2014-module-cases) to insert modules. # Assembling * Use 12-15mm M3 screws with conical heads (with allen socket cap) to mount the top and bottom part together * Print some slot covers to cover unused slots * Drill the hole for the LED with a 4mm drill * Print the 'LED window' with transparent filament and insert it in the hole (from the inside). Extend the LED with a cable and glue it in place * Alternatively use hot-glue: place a piece of tape at the outside, apply hotglue and use a screwdriver to push it in from the inside. Remove the tape when cooled down. # References * RC2014 is a trademark of RFC2795 Ltd. * https://z80kits.com/shop/backplane-pro/ * NOTE: I'm not updating this on Thingiverse anymore, check out: https://www.printables.com/model/401892-rc2014-pro-backplane-case
