RC2014 Backplane 8 Case
thingiverse
These are the files needed to build a case for the RC2014 Backplane 8. This really elevates your retro homebrew Z80 computer setup! This is designed to be cut from Perspex, and although other materials would work well too, this one stands out. Layer 3 needs to be at least 5mm thick so that it can clear the components, and layer 4 should be no more than 3mm. The bottom two layers are less significant. If you use transparent Perspex for layer 3, you'll get a beautiful glow around your RC2014 from the power LED. The cutouts have been included for all of the options on the board. However, if you don't have everything installed, you can remove the holes from the top layer for a cleaner finish. Unless you already have an RC2014, this probably isn't something you would need to do. But if you don't have one yet, check out Tindie.com to learn more about it!
