RC WW1/Vintage Wheel

RC WW1/Vintage Wheel

thingiverse

This is a printable WW1/Vintage Wheel. The original file is designed for a +-inches wheel, but it can be easily resized to any size you need. The hub hole is generously oversized so that a bushing can be turned to match your specific shaft requirements perfectly. If you plan to use the wheel in its original size, a metal bush is absolutely mandatory for a secure fit. You have complete control over the resolution as most of the printed parts are hidden from view by the cover plate, which is conveniently included with the design. The cover plate is made from lightweight 200g cardboard. Simply print the template, cut it out, and use a hard object with a rounded tip to scratch in the lines that simulate the spokes. All the lines you need to scratch match up perfectly with the spokes on the wheel, making it a breeze to glue both parts together securely. To create a pair of wheels, simply print four of the included STL files and then carefully glue the two halves together using medium CA.
