RC Trike

RC Trike

thingiverse

This is a R/C trike, incredibly easy to assemble and blazingly fast - plus, you can master the drift! Built from scraps: an old RC car's electronics, shocks, and battery provided the starting point. You'll also need: M4 screws by the bucketload, a few M5 and two M8 screws for added stability (and some screw sealant to prevent leaks), of course. Some nuts and washers will also come in handy... as well as more screws, because you can never have too many! To propel this bad boy forward, grab: two 625Z bearings (for the back wheel), and two 7X19X4 bearings for those front wheels. A length of steel wire will also do the trick, coupled with a driving belt salvaged from an old washing machine and some special plastic-to-rubber glue to keep it in place. Use double-sided tape to secure those sensitive electronics, one or two rubber bands for good measure, and a Futuba S3003 servo - you can't have too many brains behind the wheel! Check out the pictures - I'm sure you'll figure out the rest! Caution Ahead! Some holes might not turn out perfectly round, so break out your drill to help tidy things up. A direct drive from motor to wheel is asking for trouble; let's just say it won't do well with prolonged use. Ride carefully, kids! Going too fast and turning sharp will flip this baby over like a pro. No video yet, but stay tuned! Just build this bad boy and have fun - just please, pretty please, don't go flipping out (crashing is also optional)!
