Nose/Cowl for Tiger Moth RC plane. This is scaled for a 1m wingspan model. If you have an airplane of a different size, scale this design according to your needs. This is an assembly video of the model plane with the original cowl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hcwf_bLUbgk And these are the flights with the printed one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNSHw2BGZZw, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmNdvQShqEU The original transparent PET cowl is nice, but this new design offers several improvements: - Space for a larger brushless motor - Enhanced crash resistance and greater elasticity on impact - Better motor ventilation - Improved aerodynamics - The option to add front mass by thickening the walls for balance Print settings: These solid models can be printed as either spiral vase or solids with 0% infill. For the spiral vase print: - 0.1mm layer height - 3 bottom layers For the solid print: - 2 perimeters - 0.1mm layer height - 8 bottom layers - 10 top layers - 0% infill After printing: Trim the flat base using a cutter, dremel or soldering iron For the hole model trim the inner tube 3mm under the top edge For the model with no hole, cut a hole into the top layer of about 20mm in diameter
