RC Tank Modified Wheels
thingiverse
This remix of the drive wheel and bogie wheel is a creation inspired by Staind (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2414983). The design also incorporates edwardchew's (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2952438) bogie wheel remix. Please note that these wheels have not been tested yet as the tank is still under construction. The motivation behind this remix was to prevent dirt and debris from accumulating between the track and the wheels, potentially causing wear and breakage issues. To address this, grooves were added around the outer circumference of the wheels, allowing dirt and small pebbles to escape and ensuring the track remains seated flat on the wheels. Additional features include holes/slots that lighten up the wheels slightly and add a touch of flair to an otherwise straightforward design. The photo shows one of the bogie wheels with these holes. These openings go all the way through, creating additional channels for the track guide pin to prevent dirt from being trapped within. These wheels should mount exactly like the original stock wheels. Printing may require supports due to the channel for the track guide pin; however, this depends on your printer's specific capabilities.
