RC shafty AR60 crawler
thingiverse
This is a project for an RC shafty based on Axial AR60 axles. This work in progress will be updated regularly. What you need: - Two AR60 axles with overdrive and underdrive option, which provides better performance for this discipline. - Vanquish Wraith Steering Knuckle Set to improve the turn radius and utilize a front weight system holder. You also need 40mm M3 spacers, 10mm M3 spacers, and 2mm M3 spacers for chassis assembly. The transmission is an Axial SCX10 or AX10 with no slipper. Shocks: HSP 90mm front and rear. On the rear, you can replace the rod end with a longer one to achieve 95mm eye-to-eye distance. Spring rate varies by driver preference; I've used Chinese springs (12mm ID, 0.7mm diameter, and 35mm length). Front link mount: You will require 12mm M3 brass spacers (hex style) and a 25mm M3 male-female steel spacer to mount the servo. Wheels: Rear wheels employ a classic beadlock system, typically used with Crawler Innovation double deuce 5.5 or 6.0 dimension foams. Front wheels are unique; I use 5.5 Crawler innovation foams without an inner ring. The beadlock ring is larger to replace the inner ring foam, keeping weights close to the ground. Weights have an 8mm diameter and 10mm length. For each STL file, the number after the "x" indicates how many pieces you need to print. May 11, 2020 update: Rear weights are added.
