Summary: Easy Mount for RC Planes. A Simple Pusher Motor Mount for Your RC Plane That Can Be Mounted in Both Pusher and Tractor Orientations. This mount is designed specifically for brush-less RC motors, ideal for foam or wood model bodies. The motor hole pattern follows the standard 16 x 19mm layout, accommodating popular motors like the 2212 - 2200kv motor. Two versions of the mount are provided in the files: a basic version and an upgraded version with added surface area for more secure mounting and to distribute energy over a wider area. The bottom plate offers two options: solid or with a hole for reduced weight. Recommended components include: 4-3mm x 6mm motor mounting bolts 4-Nylon mounting bolts with nuts (4-40 x 1 inch) The recommended motor is the Turnigy D2826 6S 2200kv Outrunner Motor, available at hobbyking.com. My printing settings are as follows: Top and bottom: 1.2 mm Wall thickness: 1.2 mm Infill percentage: 80% You can find a video demonstrating the print settings at youtube.com/watch?v=4tpvAAcBKuk. For optimal results, I recommend printing the main mount standing on its end to add strength to the motor mounting surface. The bottom plate should be printed flat. This design was created with a Maker Select printer and no rafts or supports were used.
